iFly Schedules Career Mode

Hi all! Hope you had a great holiday! I've been working on a Career Mode for iFly Schedules as I've had A LOT of request about a Career Mode this past year. With that said, I would love to get you input and feedback on what's important to you and what you would love to see. It's really starting to take shape and I'm happy to share a few screenshots.

Keep in mind that I am a solo developer and this is STILL a WIP 🙂

Let me know your thoughts!

Cheers,
Clement

  • $4 a month?

Would be interested in this and then I could move off APLv2 and just use your site 🙂 I know the screenshots are WIP but would A319 type rating not be shared with A320 and A321?

No, I know it's not like the real world but the only reason is to make it a little more challenging and makes it more fun to grow and acquire each specific aircraft rating. Does that make sense? Thoughts on this?

Personally I think each specific aircraft license would be a bit too restrictive and “grinding” and would be better having aircraft family licenses. Although it depends also how long it takes to build the money to buy the licenses

I want it to feel like you have to grind a bit, but not so much that it takes a full year just to earn a new license. At the same time, I don’t want people switching airlines every week. I’m trying to find a solid middle ground—still challenging, but fair.

A lot of the VAs I am in do the shared type rating thing. So, having the a319, A320, A321 (and neo versions) grouped would be essential in my part. Same with the 737s.

I don't mind a grind to unlock a widebody, or another narrowbody rating. But grinding out each a320 variant would be a non-starter for me.

Ok so maybe do"Families" but have jobs be for a specific Aircraft, or 1 or 2. Thoughts?

Put me down as a very interested buyer..... I'd love to move away from APLV2 as its shows no sign of being developed further and the interface is dated.

Feel free to DM me on Discord and I'm happy to give you a test drive as it's being developed.

Yes, but no recurring costs with APLV2. This looks interesting, but it is subscription based as far as I am aware.

I'm not against a subscription model if it does what I want and there are continual improvements.

The plan is continuous improvements and regular updates. A lot of other tools might not be subscription-based, but they also tend to feel dated and don’t get nearly the same pace of new features and releases.

And honestly… it’s basically the price of a coffee.
