I agree 1000% Some folks get their rocks off bashing PMDG. Like I said before, I've been a satisfied customer of PMDG since FS9 days. And I still enjoy it sometimes when I go back to P3D for memory sa

What difference does it make, it's running good for me. Not much changed in their 737 since FS0.

You two. You guys never miss an opportunity to allege facts not in evidence.

Opening a whine bar in MSFS2024.

I watched it earlier. Looked more of a clickbait title to get views to me. Among his complaint? When standing 6 inches from the tire it isn’t perfectly round. He is outraged. I think if you don’t like it then don’t plaster your face up against it. I tell YouTube don’t show me any more of this guys videos so now I am no longer bothered.

IslandSimPilot makes some very good points in that video. There are far too many people throwing insults and accusations at PMDG these days, and for very little reason. Of course their products are not absolutely perfect. No products are. However, PMDG aircraft are some of the very best simulated aircraft available for a PC flight simulator. Even more importantly, it has already been stated that the external modelling of the new MSFS 2024 version of the 737 is being upgraded. PMDG felt (quite rightly in my opinion) that releasing the 737-800 just before Christmas would enable many of us to enjoy flying it during the holidays. That was a nice gesture as far as I am concerned, although the conspiracy theorists inevitably criticised them for releasing an incomplete product

I really do not understand the hate thrown at PMDG. They make incredibly detailed and performance friendly aircraft that have very few (if any) show stopping bugs. They provide relatively frequent and detailed updates about what they are doing, and why certain things are taking longer than expected. You can call them liars for missing deadlines or exaggerating the price of your favourite beverage, but at the end of the day they develop top quality simulated aircraft. There is no debate about that. They just do. As for the cost of the new 737 in MSFS 2024, I consider a 60% discount for existing users of the MSFS 2020 versions to be a generous offer, considering how much time and effort has seemingly been devoted to this rebuild  Some users even got the 60% discount when they did not own the MSFS 2020 version of the 737-800, and I am betting that some of these champions still thought that it was a rip off

I really wish that the flightsim community as a whole would look at itself in the mirror, and think before criticising one of the best developers in the business. They are not perfect, but they are a lot closer than 99% of the flightsim world. We would do well to remember that.

You see HATE?  I just see opinion.  Anyway, I'm just off to get six or seven cups of coffee.

Overall I'm also a huge PMDG fan and appreciate everything they have done to enrich this hobby.  Saying that I can also understand some of the criticism.  When they make statements suggesting they have rebuilt the 737 just for 2024, that's not exactly doing them any favors in the court of public opinion.  Combine that with the fact more developers have offered free upgrades to 2024 than charged for it.

But I'm personally happy with their products.  No complaints here.

The definition of "rebuilt" is one of the key points in IslandSimPilot's video.

Why would you quote Island Sim Pilot, with any degree of weight or relevence to anything?

He's a snake oil salesman and a laughing stock.

This is harsher than I normally choose but people quoting anything from that channel really irks me.

You see, this is pure Island Sim Pilot.  That point about the 'unround' tyres has been made by around 20 YouTubers in the last month.

And here is IslandSimPilot, acting (acting being the right word!) like he's just spotted it - complete with faux outrage.

Anything you ever see in this guy's videos is a re-hashed, re-positioned, over-egged version of something already well-covered.    If someone finds a 'tweak' that doubles FPS and increases you personal virility by a factor of 10, he will re-brand it and sell it off on his channel as his own.

Quite honestly, the worst, most pretentious flight sim content creator on YouTube.

Having been simming and real world flying for many years now my YouTube reviewer of choice is AvAngel, light hearted and fun with no controversy. She makes me laugh with every video and I tend to get a better feel of an aircraft with the way she casually throws them around rather than the somewhat stale way some of the pseudo experts on YouTube do things.

Just saying , that’s all. I don’t think I’m familiar with island sim pilot so not referencing his work.
