Typical PMDG, THE one update all are waiting for, the -800 update, will be last. A desperate attempt to sell some more copies of the otherwise less interesting variants. Understandable from a marketing point of view, it still simply sucks that we have to wait as -800 customer. Due to basically no reason 🤣

Good thing is there are a ton of new A/C to fly until the -800 comes to life...But yeah, I hear ya...

Yep the inversion of the release order for 2024 over 2020 looked like trying to minimise use of the existing customer discount.

Has anyone gotten the BeyondATC datalink feature to work? I can't seem to find it in the Tablet

PMDG are working on a fix and will issue an update. Also a fix for the nose gear not retracting after departure.

Edit - Update now available in OC3.

My nose gear won’t retract on the -700 but now does on the -600. Ruined a good flight I set up. Does anyone ever test things at PMDG? Good grief.

Wow!  This just happened to me twice in 15 minutes. KATL/KDEN. Took off got the plane climbing on autopilot in a trimmed and stable state.  Figured I would go outside and admire my new plane and my exemplary airmanship and then I saw it immediately.  Big as life.  Nose gear hanging down and we’re passing 240 on the CUTTN2. Huh?  How?  Me?

I checked PMDG’s “Failures” page in the CDU. There was a failure, one.  Oil. Red text.  Clear it, I typed with a press of an LFK and it did. Voila!  Red all gone.  My ship was once again 100% mechanically sound.  Back outside, Drat!  Nose gear still  hanging down.  Cycle gear no change. Only part of frontal gear system that moved were the doors.  Thinking it might have been self induced I closed the session and reloaded it.  Replicated my steps including GSX and took off only to see that nose gear hanging once again.  I quit!

I got plenty other planes to fly. I just did this same flight in my Aerosoft 340-600 and am planning on doing the same In Asobo 747 with WinCTRL FMS/EFIS and CDU (PFP 4)

Now though, after learning the fix is “already in”, I want to see how the just repaired 737 flys and what it means to have BATC Integration. Decisions, decisions. I Guess my 747 flight got delayed! 😊

Good you guys can feel the pain LOL - I had to wait till just last week for my 737-700 🙂

I was literally about to buy the -700 just to get that enhanced visual update, put it in the cart for 30 bucks since I owned it in FS2020 but then decided to skip since I got the -800 at the same discount (despite not being originally eligible what PMDG messed up and never dared to confirm) and one 737 is enough, so also patiently waiting until the -800 update comes out. too many other nice planes to fly until then

I just opened a support ticket with PMDG. I've been unable to finish a single flight in the updated (0.44) -700 without getting wasm crashes. Even clearing the wasm cache didn't help. Has this update work for you without problems?

Ah, the good old PMDG conspiracy theory in action. Nice to see that some things never change

Come on, it is just a high detail update. It would be nice to have it, of course, but it doesn't prevent us to fly the 737-800 anyway.

I still haven't bought the 737-700 upgrade. Will probably buy it with my next paycheck. But it's ok, I can live without the 737-700 for now and with the actual 737-800 and 737-900ER, even without the HD update.

It has nothing to do with conspiracy if it is over your head. Simple marketing strategy, as I wrote. Still not necessary to agree to it, no?

So, reverse order of complexity isn't a factor? The tweaks to the -600 are a lighter lift than the -800. Same with the -900. The -800 with 3-4 airframes and different wing tips.

I work in project management and this is pretty much the order I'd go in too.

Now, yes, they should have just done all this before they released. But they didn't.
