Be cautious. From everything I have seen it is only using your Simbrief plan to give you instructions, so is not aware of anything else. Even in a video they have posted where they are parked at KDEN around Concourse A, the taxi instructions are taxi to 17R via taxiway Alpha! Also read this:

PMDG are working on a fix and will issue an update. Also a fix for the nose gear not retracting after departure. Edit - Update now available in OC3.

DCS or Falcon BMS? Haven't done anything in depth yet, but am very pleasantly surprised by BMS so far. From the comments here and looking around the web it seems to be very popular, not sure how I had never really heard about it! One question - are there only the 4 maps or is there somewhere one can get addons (maps) from?

What we are seeing here is posters whom (I believe) wish the product to absolutely succeed and are frustrated that a core function, approach, can/does have major issues. It is appreciated that BATC is still early access and issues are being addressed daily, but 2 years down the line a core function is still unreliable. In my case I wish to see holds implemented sooner rather than later as another core function. After saying that BATC is a great addon (especially for the price) and I never fly without it. Keep up the great work and hopefully BATC will become the preeminent ATC simulator.

Convinced by the comments here so am installing Falcon 4.0 as we speak, will then install Falcon BMS. Looking forward to giving it a shot, the dynamic campaign is the most interesting aspect for me. Anyway it seems I'm taking this thread off topic so will desist, but thanks for the input.

Just watching a video... Ground textures are very poor, certainly not visually pretty. Still for $5 odd for Falcon 4.0 it's worth installing just to see if it scratch's an itch.

Very interesting. Maybe I'm wrong, but is it only the F-16 which is high fidelity (system depth and flight model)? I need to look further into Falcon BMS.

Not seeing the VNAV issue. Do you use anything like FSrealistic? If you do try turning turbulence down or off. Same with MSFS, turn turbulence to low as recommended by PMDG and FlyByWire.

Hmm, might have to try Falcon BMS. Don't know much about it as have religiously stuck with DCS. Anything in particular that sticks out with Falcon BMS for you?

By the way PMDG do not have default views for the wings, only for the cockpit as far as I'm aware (ctrl+0-9). Maybe Chaseplane have not yet a default configuration for the -700?

Ah, okay, didn't realise you are using Chaseplane. As I don't use it I cannot help you further with how to setup the cameras, hopefully someone else can chime in. All I can say is if the camera view is correct, then you do not see the issue in your picture. After saying that PMDG should set the object collisions so that you cannot clip into the fuselage!

If you want the best of both worlds then you are correct. When was the last time you played it? Things such as weather have been improved a lot, but agree it lacks in certain area's (not covering the whole world being one of them). For sheer fun (especially in VR) when dog fighting or trying to strafe ground targets, you really currently cannot beat DCS. Just wanted to add - It's great to have these jets in MSFS, no doubt about it. But for me it's more than just flying around in a military jet. Need to have my wingmen, awacs, fuel tankers, a whole squadron of different aircraft on a complex mission, as well as the systems depth of most of the aircraft. (including helicopters).

Can you not move the camera using the keyboard shortcuts (W, A, S, D, Q, E) or arrow keys?

Other than you get the whole world to fly in MSFS, what is wrong with DCS? Has a ton of military aircraft with great modelling and system details as well as killing stuff! DCS would seem to be the best sim for military operations.

Seems to me you are pushing through the fuselage rather than the window. Pull back a bit to see if the window is in view directly in front, I suspect it will be the aircraft frame between the windows.

To be fair I am not surprised people are sceptical of Rhodiumcode. The only other game they seem to be (was?) working on which was started back in 2021, City Rhapsody (Low poly city builder type game), is supposedly coming to early access soonTM. How they transitioned to flight sim, who knows.

DFD have also been working on a freeware A350 for some time, no expected release date as yet.

Not sure if this will be helpful, but checking the 737-800 versus 737-700 cargo versions with same airport and same view, both use similar GPU memory, If anything the 737-800 is using slightly less (about 1 gig). In my case typical is around 20 gig.

Has anyone else tried the Alaska cargo variant? Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but can't get the main cargo door to open whatever I do!
