FS 2024 B787-10

Featured Replies

I have no intergration with simbrief in the 787 in 2024. Is this correct?

Have intergration in 2020.

Yes, that is correct. For reasons unclear they removed the direct integration with SB and replaced it with a sideways integration via the EFB.  You still can’t harvest SB directly in the EFB, you must go old school and download the .pln file with the downloader to then ingest in EFB and then XMIT to 787-10 FMS.  Yes

Hopefully Navigraph will provide direct integration soon but with just a little extra work you still can get those 67 waypoint FPlans into the FMS without keyboarding LoL.

As opposed to integrating third party features directly (which is not really fair to other third parties that might want similar attention), we instead have built a standardized API by which any third party can create integrations that sync routes to the avionics; I believe already SimBrief and Navigraph are using it in their EFB apps (which are in public beta). And yes, as a universal fallback, there is also the PLN load and then sync via planner app route.

Thank you Matt.  Now the reasons are fully clear to me but it still escapes me how to leverage any kind of direct integration from SB into EFB tho I do have the plugin.  Probably user ed needed.

Thanks again Matt,

787 must be a portover, Because It's doing the same thing as 2020 version, so far as not following Plan route ,magenta line.

fOLLWOING the route magneta line nicely. Did a KLM flight from FACT to EHAM. I've just seen that you can get into simbrief planner via the EFB - I was looking in the FMC 😂
