December 6, 20241 yr Curious what the consensus is so far about Ram and how much is needed ? I hear 16 or 32 is ok, but 64 or even 128 may work better ? Tx
December 6, 20241 yr The more the merrier. I think it's a good indication of the software's design that it will use whatever amount it finds. I'm still grinning over my performance is better than it is in 2020. I was thinking I'll have to update my computer for 2024, but nah. Still good using a pretty old setup. December 12, 20241 yr If you are building a new system, buy 64GB (2x32GB modules) since it is only a bit more expensive than 32GB. For existing systems, If you already have 32GB I wouldn't upgrade but if you really want to I would recommended to replace the current RAM rather than at two more modules. Populating all 4 RAM slots can lead to less stability and/or speed. December 25, 20241 yr Can anyone tell me if they are using 4 sticks of ram without issue on the z790/z890 motherboards? I have 64gb of ram, and went ahead and bought 32gb more 16x2 to equal 96gb. have read that some boards don't like 4 sticks.
