December 12, 20241 yr Hi there, is there a way to disable water reflections alltogether in FS2024 - or at least for open ocean? While it does look realistic on small lakes and rivers in FS2024, there is no such thing on bigger water bodies - at least it is super super rare in reallife. I'm living in NZ for many years now and I think I have never seen any reflections from the mountains across our view .. I attached some screenshot comparision: http://ambientfx.de/_files/seatoun05.jpg http://ambientfx.de/_files/seatoun06.jpg http://ambientfx.de/_files/seatoun01.jpg http://ambientfx.de/_files/seatoun02.jpg http://ambientfx.de/_files/seatoun05_FS.JPG http://ambientfx.de/_files/seatoun06_FS.JPG http://ambientfx.de/_files/hataitai.jpg http://ambientfx.de/_files/hataitai_FS.JPG I general the visuals in FS2024 are stunning of course, but those water reflections always turn me off when flying over larger bodies of water. It looks like flat ice .. Is there a way to improve on that? Thanks
December 12, 20241 yr There is a setting in the graphic settings menue where you can adjust the quality of the water reflections from low to ultra. Maybe "low" is the one you are looking for? The "problem": you will then have low reflections even for lakes with totally still water. Sadly you can not adjust it for ocean water or lake water individually, this will never be possible technically. December 12, 20241 yr While I agree, and I am not trying to trivialise your issue because we all have our own priorities, but I don't think this issue would make the top 500 at the moment, as the sim has far more pressing issues.
