How often do you perform maintenance in career mode ?

Featured Replies

Just curious to know how often you perform maintenance for your plane in career mode.
Given you have to pay around 4K just to have a status of the aircraft.

I am cautious so I tend to check every 2 flight even though the maintenance schedule is recommending every 20 hours give or take.

I don't know how the maintenance logic in career mode works, but every other flight or even every 20 hours seems way too often compared to what happens in the real world.

GA aircraft are typically checked every 50 hours. I'm less familiar with airliners, but according to Wikipedia, an A check (the most frequent type of check) "... is performed approximately every 400-600 flight hours, or every 200–300 flights, depending on aircraft type".

Yes the wear and tears seems a bit too much accelerated compared to reality.

As long as it is accellarated by the same ratio as your income, I'm fine with that. Or do you think it is realistic to get paid 17.000€/$ for 75 Minutes of cargo hauling in a Cessna172?

I agree the pay is well too much as well, not a pb with that it's a game I understand they take shortcut to keep it interesting. Just trying to find the sweet spot as to when perform maintenance to avoid accident.
