December 16, 20241 yr Currently I have ASUS ROG 27' that have served me well since 2017 for P3D and MSFS2020. However, I think that now it's time to move on. I'm not planning to have multi-monitor set-up, but would rather stick with ultra-wide monitor + an option of split-screen. I'm curious if anyone currently utilize this option with MSFS. Also, since I'm flying a lot in heavy hubs such as KJFK with 100% PSXT/AIG traffic, I don't think I would be able to allow full 4k, so 2k is still my preferred resolution with 12GB 4070. Would appreciate your advices. December 17, 20241 yr The 21:9 ultrawides give good results without the significant distortion that occurs at the sides of the extreme ultrawides (e.g. 32:9). I run MSFS on a 38" Alienware 21:9 monitor (3840 x 1600). That 32:9 monitor you linked above has 89% of the pixel count of a 3840x2160 4K monitor, so GPU load would be fairly similar between the two. December 17, 20241 yr Author Thank you, Bob. I'm also curious whether 32:9 monitor can simulate two 16:9 monitors with genuine screen split without significant load on GPU. I have 4070. A second "monitor" will be used for Navigraph, LNP, BATC or maybe Youtube. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

I would be sceptical--performance considerations notwithstanding, all of the extreme ultrawides I've looked at have very aggressive curvature...I would think putting a window for ancillary programs off on one side would make for very awkward viewing of the sim on the other side due to the curvature. I've long since opted to use a second PC (laptop, older former sim PC etc) placed off to the side for ancillary programs rather than trying to shoehorn everything onto one machine.
