December 18, 20241 yr I wanted to pull this out of another thread I had started as this is about the new topic and not Black Square. Les if you have the G430 you might be able to have the KLN90 with a slight variation. I reached out to RSG about using the G430 hardware unit since it has a very similar layout to the KLN90 with the two dual rotary knobs and five buttons along the bottom with the center screen. Also the two knobs have a push function that could be used as the cursor buttons. The idea is to assign the knobs and buttons using Axis and Ohs (Spad.next should also work but I'm AAO) to assign all the knobs and buttons and then use Pop-Out Manager to put the screen on the screen of the 430. A rep at RSG that I've dealt with for all my needs has told me that what I'm wanting to do is possible. What needs to be done is to start Axis and Ohs (AAO) 1st before the Real Sim Gear device interface starts. Mine starts automatically from the exe.xml file when I start the sim. So if I start AAO before I start the sim, then the 430 would bind to AAO and not the RSG device interface thus allowing it to work the KLN90. To assign the knobs and buttons, Start the sim and then shut off the RSG device interface as so its not running. Assign the knobs and buttons and then your done. Next time you want to use the 430 as a the KLN90, just start AAO before the sim. Want to use the 430 instead, start AAO after the RSG interface starts up (in theory). Does anyone have any insight on doing this? I have two main questions: 1) Can the screen be popped out and moved using Pop-Out Manager like what I do with the GTN750 screen? When its popped out is it just the screen and not the whole unit with the bezel etc? 2) How involved would the assignments be to assign the knobs using Axis and Ohs? I have a fair understanding and use of Axis and Ohs but unsure of exactly how the knobs will work since they control different pages. i9-13900K O/C | ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Kingston FURY | RTX 4090 24GB | 2x SSD M.2 (2TB Samsung 990 PRO) 1x SSD (4TB Samsung 870 EVO) | Windows 11 Home | H20: HydroLux PRO:HardLine Tubing| 1000w PSU | Starlink WiFi
December 18, 20241 yr Thanks for the information. I will have to do some research and significant learning as I'm woefully uneducated as it relates to AAO and SpadNext (I have the latter). I assumed RSG is not planning to develop a KLN90 hardware product.
