  1. Ryan, Thanks for the valuable input. I guess you were a tower guy (I was too) before ZMP?
  2. "Everyone flying GA should really be on 2024 by now as it's vastly superior for that style of flying." Can you elaborate with specific detail?
  3. The following is in the real world Raytheon/Beech B58 Baron Normally Aspirated POH: Section IV Normal Procedures BEECHCRAFT Baron 58 NOTE With the mixture control in the FULL RICH position, the Engine Driven Altitude Compen sating Fuel Pump will automatically lean engine mixture for the airplane's pressure altitude as the airplane climbs. I imagine this cannot be accomplished within the confines of MSFS.
  4. Please delete; already covered by another post.
  5. The issue is addressed on the Justflight Baron Professional forum. Look here: Does it have the same leaning shortcomings as the dukes? | Just Flight Community
  6. I use the CP disable option mentioned above when popping up G530/G430 screens for Realsimgear. You can resume CP by again pushing the same screen.
  7. Thank you. I learned the Legacy/Lock option is now located in General/Flight Interface/Cockpit Interaction.
  8. Can someone help with how to select mouse settings between Legacy and Lock? Google, YouTube and AI info doesn't apply that I can find as things change. I'm unable to hold a magneto switch in start position with left mouse button as with FS 2020.
  9. Why Jeff Smisek? Someone I used to work with at COA.
  10. I would like to hear the pro/con arguments on the Baron reference: 1.) Normally Aspirated; 2.) Turbocharged; 3.) Pressurized. Noted in Baron history is the timeline of options #2 and #3 during the 1980s. It appears these options were discontinued post ~2000. I assume the reasoning was cost, weight and maintenance. I don't know if higher MGTOW on some options validates cost/benefit analysis. I've been looking for some opinion articles but haven't found any yet.
  11. I remember a PA-42-1000 years ago; FSX, I think but don't remember which developer.
  12. I thought a Simbrief flight plan was required for all ops. Is this a change? Is there something special required for populated world traffic? I don't use SI as much as PE.
  13. Almost a 10-minute video and you don't show or even mention a single GA aircraft. It gives the impression that GA just ain't that important. It's not that I'm not anti-airline; heck, I worked for them for almost 30 years.
  14. I spent 10+ years at EWR as Continental's ATC liaison director to FAA. That video is quite good and comprehensive.
  15. Is there any chance of you doing your fantastic work on KAPV - Apple Valley, CA ?
  16. I second this and much more. For example, on a vector in my C310 for a VA to uncontrolled KTPH; then, "Radar service terminated..." no clearance, no nothing. SI (Say Intentions) does terribly with airspace and basic FAA phraseology. For example, 30 NM NE of DAG in ZLA airspace: "Contact Mexicali Control..." or "FL120" in the USA? This shouldn't be this difficult. PE is the ticket, I just wish there was more volume.
  17. Hello, I have reached out to Lewis at A2A via DM and asked him to establish contact with you here at AVSIM. He's a standup guy and I'm confident he will get you on the path to success as soon as possible. I think he's in the UK with local time of about midnight, so it may be a little while. Please let me know when you make contact.
  18. The lack of response is frustrating but common.
  19. Thank you all for invaluable support. As a result, I've learned a fair amount about walkaround mode and various key functions such as changing the mouse mode from 'Legacy' to 'Lock' ('Modern') but it does take some getting used to. I didn't realize there so many differences from FS 2020. Thanks again.
  20. What I am trying to accomplish is to click on a cover or wheel chock and simply remove the item. I've seen others accomplish this simple task on YouTube by turning the item blue, then clicking and removing the item. Of course when I attempt this simple task, it doesn't work. I'm missing something and considering how many years I've been doing this, it's embarrassing to even have to ask this this. Thanks for your help.
  21. I'm new to 2024 and can't figure out how to remove things like engine covers or pitot tube covers. Searching YouTube for basic tutorials for this should not be this difficult.
  22. Is it possible to add passengers in the rear seats with the FS 2020 version? Is baggage visible if desired?
