Win 11 Pro keeps assigning Thrustmaster TCA stick wrong

Featured Replies

I upgraded my computer to new CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD, PSU and did a clean install of retail Windows 10 Pro, upgrading to Windows 11 Pro.  I plugged in the Thrustmaster Airbus TCA pack (stick & throttles) along with MFG crosswind pedals, after a clean install of MSFS 2020.

Windows recognizes the throttle and rudder as "other devices", but keeps insisting the TCA stick is a "sound device" and kills my headphones.  Plugging and unplugging the stick does not cure this.

Anyone have any idea how to fix?  Thanks!

There is a FAQ at Thrustmaster support about Windows calibration interfering with the drivers.  It explains how to removed Windows calibration.

Fixed the same problem with my TCA Boeing yoke.

Thanks, Jim, I'll look it up.

In the meantime, I plugged in my old T 16000m joystick which it recognizes immediately.  I think because the Airbus stick has an audio jack, Windows reads that as an audio device.
