Thanks, Rhett, that helped. In FSX I had set the aircraft global texture to high, but when I set the 2D panel transparency to > 0, it switched to custom. The graphics global texture resolution was set to medium, so that must override the aircraft global texture setting. I was trying to get the aircraft textures to be higher than the scenery textures, which are set to medium low, so I'm guessing the graphics global texture resolution setting overrides the scenery texture settings as well.In FS9, I had the global aircraft quality set to high, and there don't appear to be any graphics global texture resolution settings there other than the global max texture size setting (which I guess isn't a texture resolution setting) under the hardware tab, which I've got set to high, so I guess there's no issue with one overriding the other. Thanks again.tnbriggs
