Advice on Vista home premium with FSX

Featured Replies

Hi There, can someone please advise if having Vista home premium 32Bit or 64Bit will be better for FSX.I am building a new PC and I just want to buy the correct OS.Or it doesn't make any differneceThanks for any helpwalouigi

I would only consider Vista 64 bit if I was building a super gaming (only) computer and wanted lots of RAM. For a general use and gaming computer, I am very happy with Vista 32 bit.ArtNow flying with: Biostar TF560-A2+, Athlon 64X2-6000+, 4GB RAM, Geforce 8800GTS-320MB, 500W PSU, 250GB HD, FSX (SP1-SP2), Vista Home Premium

I am using Vista home premium 64 and XP Pro with 4Gigs of Ram...practically not much difference.Abe

After using Vista 32 for over a year, its back to XP as my main OS.Just tired of the constant disk thrashing with Vista, the security hassles, VB6 programs that don't run, and when I read the SP1 creates even more issues, its time to go back.If you want to try Vista go with the 32bit version.
