As usual (hope it's ok 🫢), i post here a little preview version of AL if someone wants to test it and maybe discover glaring issues before i publish it officially,

it's mainly for those of you who have lots of liveries (not me 😉), AL now has a new 'liveries browser' screen that let you view all your liveries grouped by aircraft model with the possibility to enable/disable them directly from that screen. Was requested a few times so i tried a little something. The options is in the Tool menu -> liveries browser :

oh well just in case someone wants to give it a shot (both AL2020 and AL2024 have been updated, a new DLL is also required, all updated files in the zip below) :

it's a just a new standalone screen, there is not risk in using this version, it has no impact on the rest of the tool.

 

Putting the mouse over the little 'image icon' will show the livery thumbnail in full size

 

Official version should come soon after i have maybe 1 or 2 feedback indicating that the basic stuff seems ok. The AVSIM posts can not be edited after a few hours so, if a new official version is already released when you read this message, be sure to grab the official one and not the one in the link above.

I'm aware of a few things that could be improved maybe in future version if there is interest  :
- if you keep the 'liveries browser' screen open and you do changes in the main screen (add new addons, activate/deactivate liveries), the changes will not be reported in the liveries browser until you reopen it (or use the refresh button at the top)
- the refresh button closes all groups

it's important to understand that when you enable/disable an addon, it's raelly the addon that is enabled/disabled. So if an addon contains multiple liveries, all the liveries will be enabled/disabled at the same time that's the way addons work in MSFS.

Works without issues on my 2024 system (thanks!). One request though:

Is it possible to add either a "Sort by" (or filter) for "Enabled/Disabled" (currently only option is "Aircraft model"? Either that, or add the "Enabled" column (as in the Linker main screen).

The 'enabled' column is already there but i forgot to unhide it. You can show it by right clicking on one of the column header and then use the 'column chooser' (drag it where you want). In the version posted above, that column is not updated if you enable/disable something directly from the livery browser screen.

i will fix that for the official version (the 'enabled' column will be visible by default and automatically updated if you enable/disable something in the livery screen).

Aaaah ... my mistake! I actually saw that column in the chooser panel, but thought it was just a title to show which columns were enabled in that specific panel (duh!!!). All good now :)
