January 7, 20251 yr How do you defrost the windscreen of the Beechcraft Bonanza A36? I had all the defrost settings I could find set to on but the windscreen was totally frozen?

January 8, 20251 yr Yeah, never had much luck with Piston airplanes in the winter in MSFS. Make sure the carb heater is turned on. Stay away from clouds. MSFS seem to make it worse then it should be. Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.
January 8, 20251 yr As I recall, though I haven't used it for some time, the defrost actually worked in the Bonanza (though I always fly Rob's modded Turbo version). Unlike some aircraft, the Bonanza is not certified for flying into icing conditions, so you always need to watch out for that combination of temperature and moisture that can bring it on. It does have a heated prop which is helpful for surprises (entering unexpected clouds on a cold day) but it's not meant to keep flying in those conditions. I'll need to check on the heating and defrosting controls and report back to you. Randall Rocke
