January 10, 20251 yr LEMD -> GMNN Zibo B738 works now no problems at all TO and departure no problems with ATC route also and orders to descend and handover to Approach no problems but.... Got order from Center to be prepared to land on 35R vector again but when approach got in contact they said 35L. No big deal Then during vector going south passing GMMN when I was 30 nm south and no new orders I asked for approach for ILS to 35L and then vector started again. Did feel like they had forgot me. First time this happen. And then tower told me to report Clear of Active and when I did that No replay at all, no order to contact Grnd so I did that myself and got Taxi orders. I have added a Profile for my Boeing and also added my Airline with Callsign and that works ok. My callsign Walker was used. My VA Airline I'm in is Walker Air, their fleet have all airplanes that is available in all flightsims, from smallest to biggest + helicopters. January 11, 20251 yr Yeah, there is something broken in 29. I did the same route KLAS RADYR2 MISEN ANJLL4 KLAX twice and saw similar behavior. Center told me to descend via ANJLL4 arrival to 14000, interestingly in both flight it gave me this instruction twice back to back. Then forgot about me, and never transferred me to Approach. January 11, 20251 yr Author VA flight GMMN -> GCFV zibo B738 This time it went well until approach. I never got a descent order from center. So when I was almost 30 nm from dest at FL340 I asked for descent to FL100 and got it then when approach was contacted they wanted me to FL080 I was still at FL200 descending. Then they said descend to 2800 and turned me to 90 degree angel to ILS at 2 nm from it. I was still at 12 000 feet so I had to dive with full air brakes and put out gear to slow down. It was a crazy approach and landing. IRL I think that pilots would have aborted and gone for a long detour to slow down and go down. I did manage to land like anyway T/D was only 266 feet. But I had full air brakes whole time full autobrake. So my question is: Should I ask for descend from Cruise level for a approach or should ATC do that? Similar thing have happen before. January 13, 20251 yr Commercial Member ATC should give you a descent from Cruise altitude. Sometimes it may come after the TOD on the map because ATC will consider additional distance for vectoring, etc. when it calculates it and that may not be baked into the flight plan. But you should get it and you shouldn't have to have the speed brakes out all the way down. If you could email the log file from this flight to [email protected] I can have a look at it and see if there is a bug causing this problem. Dave

This flight I did now Center did descend me but way to far out, ended up on FL060 with 100 nm to go. Vector again so I tried that APPR button left of map....showed this https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/akx812tnjxb7k0wjuyexx/Appr.JPG?rlkey=e64fn50zqjbe2gfcn0pk2ivrq&st=6xjybt39&dl=1 But did vector me parralell to RWY https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/yhaodyw13oin4ijpxrz9a/Appr2.JPG?rlkey=9skea71acyc0rtik4h543dvp0&st=zmqe4emt&dl=0 Edited January 13, 20251 yr by PerWel Per W Sweden Programmer since 30+ years (now retired) and a avid flightsimmer since SubLogic on Vic64.
