January 12, 20251 yr I just realized my Rolling Cache was set to "0". I changed it to 150 and it says it could take "Several minutes". I have been waiting a 1/2 hour, is that normal?
January 12, 20251 yr Author I actually can't change it at all. It is set at "0" and when I change it to anything, it says the process can take several minutes, but after a half hour nothing happens and I am forced to simply close the sim and restart.
January 12, 20251 yr Delete the rolling cache file - MSFS will re install it at next load at a default value of 16Gb. You could try changing that to say 64Gb. Remember the rolling cache file can't be made smaller. If you want to do that you will need to delete it again. the filename is ROLLINGCACHE.CCC - mine is in C:\Users\rayke\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 CPU Ryzen 7800X 3D RAM 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz GPU GEFORCE RTX 4090 Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440 Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD External Storage Three 4Tb HDs
January 12, 20251 yr 50gb takes less than a minute on my system. AMD Ryzen 7800x3d 64gb DDR5, Sapphire 7900 GPU MSSI Tomahawk AM5 M/Board. 1x 4tb Crucial M.2 SSD, 3x 2tb Crucial M.2 SSD's
January 12, 20251 yr Went from 16gb to 150gb in about 5 minutes on my system. It did say it would take several minutes and I didn't have any hiccups during the change.
