MS2020/MS2024 SimTrim and Honeycomb Throttle trim issues

Featured Replies

Just did a quick search to see if this has been mentioned before but couldn't find anything.

I've been having issues with the trim wheel on my Honeycomb Throttle system. It's a common problem with this digital wheel where the trim rate is far too low.

I found this excellent free software called SimTrim which solves that issue by changing the pulse rate to the trim wheel.

I've tried it and it works perfectly. I can now trim all my aircraft properly by just using the trim wheel! You can adjust the rate of trim in the SimTrim settings to suit your own preferences.

Worth a look if you have the Honeycomb system and a very slow trim wheel.

I'm going to try this on my Warthog Throttle. Using these two toggles for trim right and trim left (rudder). I'll see how it goes, if I can set it up... (msfs 2024)

Since I have vkb gladiator stick, alpha yoke,  TM pendular pedals, CH quad, and Warthog throttle, the Sim Trim gui window lists those 5 exact choices along the top, It does not for instance list the bravo throttle because I don't have one plugged into the computer.

I should be able to assign a function (such as right rudder trim) on any button on any of those 5 controllers I have plugged in.

Nope, doesn't work. It can assign trim up and trim down (elevator), but not the rudder. So there is no way to use this app to speed up or slow down rudder trim.  You can do it with Axis and Ohs. Also Axis and Ohs will speed up or slow down an digital (button) elevator trim, if you want.

yep I thought it would be just what I wanted for bravo - but after installing it - you would click on it - the hourglass did it's thing & nothing happened - contacted the bloke who wrote it & he said - there is a conflict with vJoy & I would have to uninstall it - but as I have the Brunner stick & pedals they use vJoy to make them run - so I am back to square one looking for a was to get a decent trimming going on the bravo
