Quick Question about mesh resolution

Featured Replies

I understand FSX's default resolution is 38.A few of my custom sceneries, say Aerosoft's Lukla are 19.Question-If I leave the setting at 19, is my performance being hurt by FSX trying to run at 19 in other parts of the world that are 38?Or will FSX simply run at 38 and ignore without perfomance penalty at 19?Thanks. Just tired of changing back and forth if not needed.

I've been switching between 10m and 38m mesh and 7cm and 1m textures, until I discovered that performance was not impacted on my system. So now, I just fly with 10m mesh and 7cm textures.. if anything, it is smoother.

You can make multiple configs within FSX and choose to load any of your choice if you have performance problems with the higher resolutions.Craig
