April 15, 200818 yr I have a number of scenery folders in my "Addon Scenery" folder - and I don't know how they got there or if they are default. These sceneries are for COMOX, KELOWNA, SALMON ARM, SIKANNI and VICTORIA. I have a number of commercial a/c addons - so perhaps they were installed by those programmes??I don't even know if these sceneries are activated because they don't show in the Scenery Library and are all of the format Addon Scenery -- Scenery -- Comox -- sceneryNone of these sceneries have associated Texture folders.Any ideas please? Thanks Barry
April 15, 200818 yr If you don't know, those are all areas in southern British Columbia, Canada. Beautiful regions. But not knowing what you have thrown into your copy of FSX, that's the only clue I have.Jeff ShylukAssistant Managing EditorSenior Staff ReviewerAVSIM
April 15, 200818 yr Thanks for that JeffYes, I knew the location of these places - but wondering if they have been installed by an addon or whether they are there by default. The addons that I have don't make any mention of additional sceneries.Barry
April 15, 200818 yr Author Just as in FS9, your stock Addon Scenery folder is empty in FSX. So something you added put those folders there. I don't remember for sure, but I don't think they are not active because they are subfolders. I think they would have to be in the library to be active as they are. I think the rules for the Addon Scenery folder and Library folder are pretty much the same in both sims.Bob Bob i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.
