Hi There-

Im just wondering how one would edit Afcad files for Airports in FSX. All of my airports in my sim seem to be "Ghost" airports. No airplanes anywhere.  If anybody would know how to edit the Afcad files it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

If it is just traffic you want you can go into the settings, open the traffic tab and adjust the sliders to your hearts content.  (bboats, planes & vehicles).

Editing afcads is a deep learning curve; but scruffy ducks Airport Design Editor is the way to go.  You can find it in the library......

If you are happy to go down the payware route, I can recommend Airport Facilitator X from Flight1 as fairly user friendly way to edit your AFCAD files in FSX.

AFCAD files do not control the number of AI aircraft at an airport but just define parking spaces etc and, as OleGreyGhost says you can adjust these using the sliders. Just be aware that AI can be a big resource hit in FSX and if you max out AI planes, vehicles etc and are using resource heavy addon aircraft or airports then you can rapidly approach the 4GB VAS limit of FSX resulting in an OOM (Out of Memory) crash to desktop!
