Problem with my propeller airplanes

Featured Replies

Hello

Recently I have a big problem with all of my propeller aircraft (Lockheed constellation, Piper cub, Cessna, Ju52, DC3 etc).

Basically:

I takeoff, want to retract flaps and gears and they don’t retract. After 20 minutes they start retracting. When landing only my main gears come out. My nose gear and flaps are always jammed. The flaps take 7 weeks to start going down. Then when I want to start my next flight the engines are suddenly broken. I can’t start them no matter what I do. Fuel pump battery magnetos enough fuel everything also key but they are still not turning on. This is on all of my propeller aircraft.

A few hours ago when I had that problem on the L1049 and I tried starting the engines my plane jumps 50000 feet into the air and then FSX crashes.

So I can’t use all of my propeller planes, which is very bad since I use propeller aircraft’s often. Please help me.

thanks

Is this because I crash landed my l1049 a few days ago? But I didn’t crash the other planes.

Hi

I don't think the problem you describe is due to a crash landing - everything should have been fine with that aircraft when you loaded it after restarting FSX and I would certainly think that should not have affected any other aircraft.

Does this happen with the default aircraft such as the Beech Baron or King Air?

No, only with add on aircraft

Are these addons a payware or freeware product?  My thoughts are that most 3rd party prop
aircraft are more likely to be subject to stricter flying rules than the default prop planes.  Most
will burn up the engines if the prop pitch isn't set correctly within the first few minutes after
takeoff.  Gear extension/retraction is very sensitive to over-speed conditions.  My guess is if
any of these conditions are met, then all hell breaks loose!

Some of the best freeware addon prop aircraft come from Milton Shupe and Rob Richardson.
