Windows XP SP3

Has anyone installed SP3 for XP yet? I was just wondering if there were any negative or even positive affects on FSX. Thank you.

I have it. No negatives that I am aware of, whole system seems smoother, not just FSX or FS9Ed GreenKCLT

I installed it as well. Nothing went wrong but I didn't see any improvemen either. I have heard of many though having problems. you might wonna have a look at the microsoft net tech before installing sp3.http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowFo...=2010&SiteID=17

MS has pulled it, if not mistaken. Apparently there were some conflicts (read crashes) with some applications. But once it's ready to go, it should definitely be installed. There's some Vista goodies brought over, particularly with security updates for networking.**so I've heard... ;)

I bought Gears of War from Microsoft and couldnt get it to run.I checked their forums and they had 150+ and counting pages of people with problems.Thats just a video game.This is a MAJOR system update so I can only imagine.I will be holding off at bit before I load it.

Installed XP SP3 on 3 computers here and have had zero issues with the install on all three computers.

Can someone explain in laymen terms what SP3 has changed?Advantages,especially those relating to FSX.
