February 22, 20251 yr I've been enjoying a lot of low and slows around the West Country down here, mostly using the Norden. It's a nice enough plane, nearest replacement I can find for the Grravel from 2020 (which figures, as it's another GotFriends plane) but I wish MSFS would remember the model and livery used from previous flights. There are a few aircraft from 2020 I would probably prefer to use but even the ones that actually work don't have a visible pilot in external view and given that is my preferred viewpoint that makes them unattractive for me. I've taken to using Active Sky, although I forgot to start it before this session so this is just native 2024 live weather. And not just live, but lively. I often switch weather to a preset if it's as dark as this, as I am more interested in the scenery than the flight, but this actually looked impressive so I stuck with it. Glad I did. When I did get a clear shot it was magic. I may be taking a few more such flights in the future. Heading out from a little grass strip (EGRR) just because it was in the right place on the map for where I wanted to be, and headed up over Bath, across to Bristol, turned north briefly before deciding to turn round and follow the Bristol Channel shoreline down towards home (Devon). Very familiar with a lot of the territory at ground level, so nice to spot things from the air. Brings back happy memories of all the traffic jams on the M5 and M4 I've sat in over the years (/sarcasm off) I'd actually only started this flight as a test of the new NV driver that I'd just installed (572.47, Feb 20th, and it works fine for me) but I got so engrossed I had to force myself to stop the flight and get back on with what I was supposed to be doing after an hour of this. I really am finding 2024 to be the bees' knees now. Roll on SU1 and all the rest to come. So, enjoy the murk! As I've mentioned elsewhere, since a suspected recent update to my X-Box Game Bar app my screen shots are coming out a bit washed out, so these are not as threatening as it was on my HDR setup. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

February 23, 20251 yr Dark and stormy surely...but your coastal tour looks very pretty still... Hope you get back the use of some of your favorite a/c from MSFS. I'm eagerly waiting for the MSFS2024 Marketplace to open... (During the same time around here, I saw a small strip-mall built and opened ...🙂...) ... And bee's knees...hadn't seen/heard it for a long time...but your use of it here sounds appropriate...🙂...
