I am getting a new machine next week. Is there anything I need to do on the old machine to deactivate the current license? or is everything done from the new machine?

Mike,

You can deactivate it after installing on the new machine.  Then activate it again on the new machine.  Just make sure you have the license key somewhere handy.

That way if the old machine is toast, you don't have a problem.
