March 26, 20251 yr @Dave I've been a user and fan of Pilot2ATC for many years. I'm currently using version Pilot2ATCv3 Update_EarlyAccess_0.1.2 (Windows 10, X-Plane 11). Occasionally, a problem arose, but the excellent support team was always able to resolve it. Now I have another problem that I haven't been able to eliminate despite numerous attempts: Up until and including takeoff, the dialog with the controller works perfectly. Until now, I was assigned to a new frequency after takeoff. But now after takeoff, ATC remains silent. A radio check just says I'm on the wrong frequency. But I haven't received any new instructions from ATC. I don't hear anything from ATC for the rest of the flight. What could be causing this? Sorry for the hassle, and thank you for your feedback. Regards
March 27, 20251 yr Commercial Member If P2A thinks you're on the wrong frequency, then it's not going to talk to you. It's possible that the frequency assigned is also the frequency for some other controller, closer by. If that's the case, flying out of a different part of the world should fix it. It's also possible that the copilot dialed in the wrong frequency. So be sure to check that the correct frequency is dialed in, even if you have the copilot handling the radios. Check the Copilot area in P2A to see the assigned controller and be sure both the frequency and type of controller match. Probably would be handed off to Departure after takeoff, then to Center when you leave the Departure area. Dave
March 27, 20251 yr Author @Dave Thanks for your feedback, Dave. I'll follow your instructions and get back to you if I still have this problem. I just find it strange that everything works perfectly up until and including the takeoff approval. And this happened on my last two departures (LSGG and LGKR). Regards
March 27, 20251 yr Commercial Member If it happens again, please email me the P2A log file. Send it to [email protected]. P2A Log files are located in: C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_300\Logs where <UserName> is your PC user name. Portions of the path may be hidden by default, so be sure Windows Explorer has Show Hidden Items checked in the View tab. A new one is created each time you start Pilot2ATC, and is closed when you shut it down. So if you take the most recent one after you have the error and after you shut down P2A, you should have the correct one. Thanks, Dave
March 31, 20251 yr I'm having the exact same problem as dhondt. Running 0.1.2 (downloaded today), but have been having this issue for the last several versions. Windows 10 & Xplane 11. Communication stops after takeoff with tower - never get handed off to departure. Several different airports and flights. I end up going back to bulletproof V2 and everything is fine. I sent log file from last flight via your email. Edited March 31, 20251 yr by lsmike
