5800x3D Bios Settings

Featured Replies

HI all, I did a firmware update for my Asus Tuf Gaming B550 Plus Mobo to the latest version. Curious to know if some settings were changed since my Cinebench 2025 score ended up being 690 points. To me that was really low. I know I have D.O.C.P enabled in the Bios but wonder if there are other settings that need to be adjusted or tweaked to get the most of out the CPU. I  remember getting like 9K to 10K on the score points with Cinebench a while ago. Any advice and does anyone else have this that mobo who can help?

My specs are on my sig

Hello .. A few things to note.

There is no Cinebench 2025 that i am aware of.

There is only 2024 and R3 and if there was a 2025 the adoption rate would be a touch too new for anyone to be able to reference the scores.

When you are able to properly identify  which Cinebench version you actually used  and obtained the Single core and multicore scores then you can look up what the reference scores are from various sources online ..

like the link i've just posted below.

https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-list/cinebench-scores

If the scores are not within that ballpark figure then you can do some research online to figure out what your optimal bios settings should be ..

Another suggestion.. maybe not now but down the road..

Please try to learn how to optimize your platform. If you don't know what the different bios settings are it is usually a bit quicker to just google what the settings mean and what it does. You wont know everything all at once but it will put you on the road to being better prepared when you do things like bios updates (Which typically resets all your settings) and you will know what to expect and do.

There are a few people here that are very capable to properly help you but there are also a few people who will lead you down rabbit holes based on hunches and assumptions.

Also .. the CPU in your signature is incorrect. Its a Ryzen 7 5800X3D not a Ryzen 9.

Good luck in your endeavors.

Cheers

Yeah Im at work at the moment, but now that I recall its Cinebench 24. Guess Cinebench 24 uses a lower scoring rate compared to 23
