April 28, 20251 yr Hi all, I have a 5800 X3D currenly and was wondering if going to a Ryzen 9 5900X would increase my performace for MSFS? The 5900X would be the max CPU my Mobo can take. Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
April 28, 20251 yr Hi Bill, The 5900X is not an X3D model, so it would actually be a downgrade for gaming/simming. According to the benchmarks I've seen, it is about 30% slower in MSFS than the 5800X3D. Best regards, Tym
