PSXT resetting traffic injection/max live values inflight

Featured Replies

Nico;

I have traffic injection radius set to 6nm and max live set to 0 to get parked acft with no live movements per your directions in another thread.  I manually set the destination in the GUI.

At some point during the flight, PSXT is automatically resetting traffic injection to auto range, and max live to -1, resulting in live traffic appearing during arrival.  I'm using historical weather so the runway(s) in use by the RT live traffic feed conflicts from the runway(s) in use based on historical wx conditions, hence the need to disable live traffic movements (e.g. to avoid going nose-to-nose with departures during approach).

How do I stop that from happening?

That's probably because you came in the reach of an airport. The airport file was loaded, and the auto range and max live settings were taken from your learned airport file, synchronising with the values you had the last time you were at that airport.

To stop that, change the settings in the GUI while you are at that  airport, or edit the parameters in the Learned file in \airports\learned\thirdparty\<publisher>\ICAO.xml

    <parameter name="LATERAL_RANGE" value="6" />
    <parameter name="AUTO_RANGE" value="false" />
    <parameter name="MAX_LIVE" value="0" />

 Note if The MAX_LIVE parameter is not in the file it means -1  (not being used)
