July 20, 200817 yr FS9 and FSX coexist without an issue. With modern hardware, the only reason left for FS9 is the PMDG/LevelD addon or some favorite something that has not been setup for FSX. That's it. With even moderated sliders, FSX is still visually superior to FS9 out-the-window. If that is a simmer's primary interest, there's just no reason to keep FS9 onboard. (I think Emma's Field (X) would be a big FSX +, hint hint.)

But now that I've got FSX running again, it's all FSX for GA flights across the western USA because of that visually superior by a mile factor! :-hah L.Adamson
July 21, 200817 yr Boaz:Note that you cannot install Vista 64 on top of Vista 32, so a clean install of FS9 may be necessary after you make the transition to the new OS.However, I had FS9 installed on my RAID array which is not on the same drives as the OS and I used Vista Transfer tool to back up my existing documents. When I installed the new OS I restored my transfer files, used Flight1 FS9 directory repair tool and I only had to enter the registration for FSUIPC and Activecamera...all my addons still worked I did not have to reinstall them or reregister them.FS9 works just fine under Vista 64 along with all other addons, no change.
