Weird Clouds - Laminar is looking for info

Featured Replies

Hi Everybody,

Laminar is look ing some help in correcting the weird looking clouds seen by multiple users.

"Hi @everyone,

You may have seen some strange cloud effects in X-Plane 12.2.0-b5 when using Real World Weather. I'm in need of some additional weather dumps and screenshots of those clouds.

If you see any weird clouds, take a screenshot, dump the weather to the log and open a bug report, please!

Use the following text as the bug title, please: `12.2.0-b5 - broken clouds`

Many thanks!"

This is a nice initiative from LR.

I had weird clouds when I tested the beta 4 the very first time. But on a subsequent try just one minute later, even by setting the flight in the exact same place and time, I couldn't reproduce the effect. It was looking super weird though 😄 Will try to follow the procedure if it happens again in beta 5 (I haven't updated yet).

Just for info, here is how it looked like at that time (note again, Beta 4, NOT Beta 5 😉 )
