I'm confused about this My Library thing. I was under the impression everything was stored in the cloud now when I go in my Library I have the option to download items. By downloading does this put the said item on my computer. Do I really need to download these items or are they in the cloud? Thanks guys for any help!

In 2024, all the stock aircraft and airports or stuff you might have bought through the Marketplace were streamed to your PC from the cloud.

SU3 gives us the opportunity to permanently download these items onto your PC. You don't have to do this but now you have that choice.

Anything you bought directly from a 3rd party dev, whether an airport or an aircraft would have been downloaded to your PC into the community folder. This hasn't changed.

It will all continue to be accessed through the library.

Thanks, cleared up my confusion

 

For info - I set up my 2024 installation (Steam version) on my D:\ drive, along with my Community folder. When I downloaded a couple of default planes they were placed on that drive in the 'Official' folder which was otherwise empty.
