(FS2024) TAP Air Portugal A330-200 - Madrid to Lisbon...

Featured Replies

Here is a collection of images of the A330-200GE, a well-respected long-haul stalwart of the yesteryears, in the colors of TAP Air Portugal, flying in the command of yours truly...🙂...across a small distance of ~300 miles, from Madrid/LEMD to TAP's Headquarter (and primary Hub), Lisbon/LPPT.

I have been always a fan of the (historic) TAP airline, the flag carrier of Portugal. I distinctly (and especially) recall flying, in the old SIMs, its Boeing 747s in the classic old colors of the airline. This A330 features the new (and stylish) TAP colors in a modern design. The aircraft's fuselage is predominantly white, with the name "TAP Portugal" displayed in big bold letters (see one close side-shot at the end). The airline's logo, including the colors of the Portuguese flag (green and red), is prominently featured on the tail fin.

In recent years, TAP has become an all-Airbus operator (319, 320, 321, 330). Within the A330 type, its current fleet shows 3 A330-200s (one of which (CS-TOP) you see below) and 17 other A330-900s of the A330neo family.

On this flight, climbing out westward from Madrid, I immediately encountered the mountain range (of Sistema Central), see images, which runs across the center of the Iberian Peninsula. Prior to arrival, in one of my shots, you may spot the Tagus River that flows through Lisbon city. It is the longest river in the Iberian Peninsula and empties into the Atlantic Ocean in Lisbon.

I have landed on ILS Runway 20 of Lisbon/LPPT airport. Today's flight was short, sweet and absolutely trouble-free on my Xbox/MSFS2024 system...🙂... (thanks to this (freeware) iniBuilds a/c, here), as I flew aboard an old friend of mine...🙂...the Airbus A330 ... familiar to me from so many RW travels with it...

Thanks for viewing...!
