September 1, 200817 yr My thanks also for the hint about using SimRoutes to save the FP into FSX. The one think I miss in FSX is being able to use FSNavigator. I have even resorted to loading FS9, starting FSNav, generating a FP, saving in to FSX flight plan folder, and then starting FSX. The Flight Planner in all M$ FSs stinks. If we could only type in a waypoint, it would improve greatly. Great idea !! David Hinson
September 2, 200817 yr Yes, SimRoutes does import into FSX, and, it appears, various FMC's, just fine. The problem I'm experiencing is with RC and ASX using the imported routes. I cannot get them to 'see' the waypoints or, occasionally, the destination airport. I can duplicate the FP from scratch within the FS Flight Planner and WP's are 'seen' just fine, just not if the FP is imported. This is not a hardship for me, as I've duplicated enough flightaware FP's now that I can rip one off by hand in the FS planner in 15 minutes or less, even a 5-6 line plan for an 8-hr flight.I've tried opening an imported FP, modifying it by changing the cruise altitude, and re-saving. Doesn't help. I've even deleted WP's one by one, then re-adding them, to no avail.I've compared FP's of native vs. imported in Notedpad, but I cannot see why one works (in the add-ons I've mentioned) and another doesn't.Can anyone explain this? Does a native FS plan somehow leave a 'fingerprint' that I'm missing?Regards,
September 2, 200817 yr Alex,Looks like you have tried all the obvious options. I did a cursory search in the Radar Contact forum w/o results. Suggest posting this issue there. Perhaps the developers can help. Good luck,Dave Vega dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library
September 2, 200817 yr Hi, David-I've already posted in both RC and AS forums (fora?). No solution yet, which is why I thought I'd throw it out here. Thanks anyway.
