July 14, 2025Jul 14 Wouldn't it be nice to have a Reims FR.172 Rocket / 172K Hawk XP either freeware or payware? I know this is obviously a no go, but it just shocked me that only the regular 172 model existed and not its powered one. Not even a T.41 Mescalero (the rocket is the civilian version)?
July 15, 2025Jul 15 Since the differences are mostly in performance and not appearance, maybe there is a modified FDE over there? I understand there is a mod available for MSFS2020. If you feel like it, you can study the corresponding sections of the aircraft.cfg file there, and copy them to the FSX one. As always, backup first. There is also a tailwheel 180hp version of the 172N produced by Aeroproyecto and, although I don't have this, I have the floatplane version of the 172N from Aeroproyecto and that certainly is very good. Bill I actually have the 172RG too. I will admit its paintkit is rather complicated. Trying to see if I can do an NFC paint but it is really hard to know where the stripes go where and stuff.
