August 1, 2025Aug 1 Jane Goodall is one of my heroes. Maybe it is because we both share the same respect for wildlife and the wilderness that wildlife call home. Another lady I deeply respect and have a high regard for is Rachel Carson, author of The Silent Spring. I was in my late 20s when I read her book and immediately knew we were soul mates when it came to protecting the environment and the wilderness. People have a hard time coming to grips with the fact that we are also animals. And perhaps not as intelligent as we think we are given our propensity to destroy each other one at a time or en masse. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
