Indeed, in version 1.39.9.0 the shutdown problem has been solved.  At least for today...

The *MS Store version* of MSFS finally closes fully. The Steam version never had the problem.

    Yup was never a Steam issue on my end.....now the VR power off ejection seat is here to stay I guess.😏
