September 15, 2025Sep 15 Hello, to you Mark, from Ron Kolesar. AKA The Blind Pilot. I was told that the successor to the Honeycomb Alpha is the Honeycomb XPC USB flight yoike. Is this still accurate? Also, if the XPC another higher step from the alpha lite, or is the alpha lite the step about the xpc? I'm blind, could you also describe what the flight yoke looks like? I'm curious to know how tall the yoke is. I had another flight yoke that was way to long for me. So, just was curious. Many thanks. Ron

The Alpha XPC is sold as an evolution of the original Alpha yoke, with all the same features but using contactless sensors with far greater resolution (16 time the Alpha's resolution). It's also compatible with XBox as well as PC. I have not owned one, so I can't comment on how it actually compares in practice. In particular, that extra resolution means nothing if the yoke's mechanical construction doesn't allow precise control of the movements. I have seen conflicting reports about the the XPC's mechanical feel that describe it as heavier or lighter than the original Alpha, so I'm not sure what to think. I'm not sure I would know how to describe what the yoke looks like. MarkH https://www.youtube.com/@AlmostAviation AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D / 64Gb DDR5 / Zotac RTX 5070 Ti / 2560 x 1440 display
