Liveries and Airport scan parameter trouble

Featured Replies

Hi There

All of a sudden, my PSXTraffic started to give me error message 48: afolder parameters to your liverie and error 49: afolder paramters to your add-on airport. I have tried uninstalling, and then installing an older version, which then works, but only the first time.

I then  RTFM, and have tried inserting the requested parameters in the xml file. But it does not seem to work. I enter the following line at the buttom of the document (above the parameter end line":

<parameter name="afolder0" value="C:\Users\FSMAIN\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\" /

Save, and then restart. Now PSX renames this parameter.xml til parameter0.xml, and makes a new parameter.xml, without the added line, and again I get error 49.

What am I doing wrong? And why is this suddently needed?

I thank you in advance

Best Regards
Bjarne Sorensen

What do you mean with all of a sudden. Did you upgrade?
You write PSXTraffic, but don't you mean mean PSXTraffic_P3D?

Please pay attention to this Release note Aug 17:
P3D: No more Automatic search for liveries. It was getting too complicated to make that UNICODE safe, and besides it did not always find all your AI aircraft, so it was not very useful.
You must now use one or more lfolder parameters.

You probably made a syntax error in parameters.xml. Then PSXTraffic_P3D cannot load the file , saves it with a 0 suffix and creates a new file from scratch.

This is the right syntax:
<parameter name="afolder0" value="C:\Users\FSMAIN\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons" />

Thanx for clarification. I apparently didn´t read all the manual 😉 I will try to see if I can get it to work then.

Sorry for the late answer.

You don't have to read the Manual for that, just look at the syntax of the lines in parameters.xml 😉

First, just to clarify: you are not paying anything for this software.

Second, the situation you describe has been discussed many times, and FAQs #14 and #15 explain it in detail.
This is not a PSXT issue. It simply means that the AI aircraft installed in your MSFS setup are incomplete or not installed correctly. PSXT depends on your AI models and liveries; managing those is outside the scope of PSXT.

If you fix the missing or incompatible AI models, the problem will disappear. If you need help identifying what’s missing, feel free to share your log file.

If the liveries can't be created by your sim, it's got nothing to do with PSXT or Real Traffic.
