November 20, 200817 yr Some months ago a post appeared here advised how to to set up FSX to show place names as you flew over them (they appeared in red). I quite enjoyed having that capability but somehow I've lost it and I'm blowed if I can find that post again to reinstate this item. As I remember it is a special line inserted in the FSX cfg and I'm pretty sure that the keys used to turn it on and off were Control+Shift+P. Accordingly, I would greatly appreciate some advice/instructions to set it up again or where to find it. Thanks in advance.
November 20, 200817 yr There is also a commercial (payware) product called FSDiscover that as well as aiports shows place names and names of features like mountains and lakes, parks, landmarks and bridges in FSX and FS9.Tonywww.msfsgateway.com

January 22, 200917 yr I bought it and I was very happy, but since the beginning of this year, it is impossible to have a connection to the Geonames POIS, so do not rush to buy before being sure that these connection problems are only temporary, like FsDreamteam says ... POIS GeoNames being dependent server geonames.org, so impossible to solve this problem by FSDreamteam, which is a shame becausethe program is only interesting for its geographic POISArnoz
