October 18, 2025Oct 18 Hi all, I'm currently upgrading my pc from i7-11700kf and 3080 10gb. I got a second hand 7800x3d and ddr5 16*2 ram in a good price, now just need to decide the new graphics card since the 3080 is too hot and power inefficient. My choices: 9070, 9070xt, 5070, (second hand) 7900xt My addons: Fenix320, ini350(super lagging on my current pc, just want to make it work after upgrate), payware scenery and airports, vPilot or Fstraffic. Navigraph and browser at backend. My expectation: 1440p on 3440x1440 with high-ultra effects, TAA or DLAA with frame generation. Raw fps at least 30fps. These cards are in the price that I can afford, wanna wait till black friday to get one of these. To me, nvidia card are more stable and I would like to have them but just their price are too high. 5070ti should be the ultimate solution, but 850$ I can't really afford it. I just wonder if 5070 can reach my expectation, and how stable are AMD video cards since I never used AMD cards before. Please leave any suggestions here and appreciate your comments! PS: frame rate when in ini350 at klax
October 20, 2025Oct 20 Are your pre-selected GPUs selected based on a budget? If you can get this second hand 7900XT for a good price, I would go for this one because for the mentioned resolution, those 20GB VRAM will be a winner. Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
October 25, 2025Oct 25 Was that screen cap taken while using the new 7800x3d because your biggest problem is main-thread limitation. Based on the above GPU frametime you should easily reach 30 fps if the main thread wasn't so overwhelmed. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB
