FF 757 v2 Professional... a quirk with NavData update...

Featured Replies

When I ran the updater today, for the release and Beta branches (v.2.6.21), it installed copies of the FF757 Pro, I activated it, but when I load the aircraft a popup adverts that the aircraft is not compatible with the Xp12 version I am using...

When I close it, it still loads and I can use the 757.

.) The FMC reports the navdata is not valid (1703 if I'm not wrong), so I tried to use Navigraph Updater which I use for the base xp12 install, but when I search for the FF757 as a separate product it isn't in the list of FF addons. It can be found among the "Xplane GNS430, FF757/767/777 etc" option, but if I choose that one and then edit the path manually to set it to the navdata folder of the FF 757, it writes there the folder and files but when I load the 757 it still shows teh 2017 Airac 😞

Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi - have you tried a manual download of that file from naviagraph and a manual install of it into the GNS 430 folder?  I always use that method, and so far, so good.

Do you have the "View hidden files" turned on? Not sure when the folder is created. Always assumed on install.

Yep all files are visible, but I got the idea that folder had vanished from xp12 due to the new unification of navdata under the "Custom data" folder...

After finally creating a GNS430 folder under "Custom data" I was able to apply the SimBrief navdata update and get the proper AIRAC in my 757 FMC...

A big thumbs up to the FF757 v2 Pro which I took for a couple of small "local" circuits and was a charm yo handfly !
