XPlane weather shown incorrectly

Featured Replies

Since a few months I see that LNM doesn't show the actual weather that is in XPlane. See screenshot below. On departure LEST had a SW wind, gusting 15+ but the map depicts "no wind". Once airborne it seems to show it correctly.

This started with 12.3 beta and is ongoing in the crrent 12.3.0R2. If it's only on my end what should I be checking for? Is there a way to show only NOAA weather on the map?

Sorry, the missing wind in the map header is a known issue which will be fixed with the next release. LR changed some datarefs.

Your X-Plane weather report seems to be outdated (red label). Either you do not use XP real weather or the path to the weather folder in XP12 it is wrong in LNM. Make sure to have the right XP base path in the scenery library folder since this also defines the location of the weather files.

Uff, of course I've been switching between XP release and beta and forgot to reload the nav data. All good now. Excellent support as always!

You're welcome.🙃

I'm thinking about this trap but have no idea yet how to fix this.🤔

Hello, I am using X-Plane 12.03 on a remote computer with  version 3.0.18 of Littlenavmap, and I am unable to get the X-Plane weather update.
In Options, Weather Files, I have entered the correct path:
\\dominique\X-Plane 12\Global Scenery\Global Airports\Earth nav data                                                 Unfortunately, the update remains red.

I just found the new path
\\dominique\X-Plane 12\Output\real weather
the weather has turned green.
However, in the overview, the old path is still not found. Maybe it needs to be changed?

I look forward to your reply.
Best regards.

\\dominique\X-Plane 12\Output\real weather is the right path. Not sure what you mean by overview. Maybe a sceenshot can help to clarify (https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/605519-how-to-post-a-screenshot-or-files/).

Keep in mind that you better load the scenery library on the flying computer and copy the database file(s) over to the remote. Much easier and less error prone than loading the scenery library across the network. See here for details: https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/latest/en/NETWORK.html

The content is no longer suitable for X-Plane 12, as indicated by the red circle.
It should be X-Plane 12/Output/real weather.

This is the location of the file the airport was found (BGL, apt.dat, etc.). It has nothing to do with the weather. The location might point to not existing files if you copy a database to a remote computer. Just ignore it if you see wrong paths on the remote. On the flying computer it will open the folder containing the file if you click on it.
