Light dimming with distance - Possible?

Hi,

As most here know I've been working on night lighting for X-Plane 12 for the longest time in an attempt to get a closer to real look, with that said... I noticed that XP12 doesn't dim the lighting as the distance to the source increases. Is this something that's possible?
