November 10, 2025Nov 10 I purchased some of the 'FS Birds' scenery addons in the MS2020 Market Place. They are listed as disabled in MS2024, but the 'enable' button is not present so I can't get them working. I bought one FS Birds region direct and that works fine in MS24. Any thoughts/advice on why there's no 'enable' option for these addons? The option is there for other MS20 purchases. Edited November 10, 2025Nov 10 by MorrisMinor
November 10, 2025Nov 10 The developer needs to mark them as compatible with 2024 for that enable button to work. They need to test it and so forth. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

Thanks for replying Jonathan - the developer's website states they are for 2020 and 2024. I'll try and contact them to see if they can sort it for MP purchases.
November 10, 2025Nov 10 Yes, being exclusively dependent on the Marketplace myself, for my Xbox, and also being an exclusive MSFS2024 simmer, I've always found the MSFS2020 pre-purchased items...a hit-or-miss... You will typically see one of the 3 labels (Unverified, or Temporarily Incompatible, or Permanently Incompatible, on such MSFS2020 items). Do you not see "Enable" option at all, or do you see one of the above 3 indications in your File Library? I always see the Enable Option, but cannot stream them, in some cases (see below). Anyway, as stated, it's good to contact the Developer, but there are 2 steps that make it difficult: first, compatibility for MSFS2024 (a shooting target, itself...🙂...), and then compatibility for the MSFS2024 Marketplace.
November 10, 2025Nov 10 Author The files are correctly postioned in my Community folder, but are listed as 'disabled' in my library, with no 'enable' button and no other labels. I bought one via Sim Market and that works without any problems. The addons are all listed for sale in the 2024 Market Place, so are compatible, and the developer states they're compatible too. Hi Morris: Could you post a screenshot of what happens when you click on the FS BIRDS (Disabled) entry in your File Library? First of all, yes, as you said, there are tons of FS BIRDS Titles available in the Marketplace, marked compatible with both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024. I have been actually eyeing those for some time...🙂..., so, I just went ahead and picked up one Title... It seems to work fine for me, as I've shown in screenshots below: By default, it came up automatically as "Streamed" - Shot #1 (Note: I'm exclusive MSFS2024 user). I disabled it to recreate your scenario - Shot #2. Then, when I click on that Disabled entry, I see 2 options at the bottom: "Enable" and "Open Marketplace page" - Shot #3 So, when you click your Disabled entry in the library, do you not see anything like my Shot #3 i.e., it does not do anything...? That sounds a bit odd, and is something to surely contact the developer about... Good luck...!
November 10, 2025Nov 10 Author Thanks for trying to help P_7878, much appreciated 👍 The one FS Birds region that I bought outside of the MP (from simMarket I think) works fine - it's in the Community folder, not streamed since I originally got it for MS2020. The others were MS2020 MP purchases and are also in the MS2024 Community folder. I can disable and enable the simMarket one, but I get no dialog box at all when I click on the others: I've sent a message to the dev's about this issue, so I hope they can resolve this for me
November 10, 2025Nov 10 Morris: I see in your screenshots that the ones that do not work have a generic leading logo, and the one that works has a customized developer logo. I’ve seen this on some of my (prior) MSFS2020 purchases which might mean that they are not free upgrades from MSFS2020 to MSFS2024, though they are automatically transferred to the MSFS2024 Community Folder or/and File Library. This is all a bit confusing, if you ask me… We know the FS BIRD products (v3.0.0) are compatible with both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024, but are the ones we purchased in MSFS2020, available for use in MSFS2024, as it is, without any additional fee? Just a thought…Please verify. Hope, you work it out with the developer, one way or another… Cheers…!
