November 18, 2025Nov 18 Hello all, I've recently bought a few items for me and I seem to have issues with them. One of these products were Aerosoft EGLL for P3DV5, when I spawned in for the first time at terminal 4 gate 421 I seem to have issues with GSX and the scenery. I was getting a message from GSX "Bad jetway data" but there was a physical jetway there. So in retaliation I decided to buy GSX profiles from cartayna and see if they would change or fix anything, to my surprise the entirety of terminal 4 does not have jetways. I spawned in at terminal 2 and it has jetways but I get a message from GSX saying bad jetway data again. I have re installed both the GSX profiles and done a clean wipe on GSX and sode and all the other necessary items yet I keep getting this message of bad jetway data or it isn't even there at all. I have tried looking at older forums or at Aerosoft forums but I cant find anyone else who is having this problem. If anyone has some relevant info or knows a fix for this I will greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
November 18, 2025Nov 18 Moderator @marsha, I have Heathrow and it’s fine in v5 with the Cartayna jetways. The bad jetway data message comes from SimConnect, not GSX. What version of SODE do you have? v1.8 is known as problematic. v1.7.1 is recommended. Get it from here. https://sode.12bpilot.ch/?page_id=1471 Stand 421 was used by Concorde which definitely has a jetway. Install 1.7.1 and let’s take it from there. Ray (Cheshire, England). November 18, 2025Nov 18 Moderator Do you see "regenerating airport cache" in the green bar top left when P3D positions at your chosen gate? It needs to complete for all to be well. No jetways will appear until it completes. Next, in P3D select Add-ons - GSX - Customise Airport Positions. In the top left it shows the ini file being used to generate GSX parking data including jetways. Does it point to your Cartayna file? Ray (Cheshire, England). November 18, 2025Nov 18 The Aerosoft EGLL Prof has SODE jetways to be installed separetely which is pretty bad for inexperienced users. So there was no need to buy cartaynas files, which were freeware long time. So the free SODE Jetways for many Aerosoft Simwings products can be obtained here https://sode.aerosoft.com/?lang=en Regards Dan OS=WIN11 Home, Sim=P3D5 5.3 (P3D4 and FSX for install reasons) Addons=ORBX, ASCA, AS, TOGA and tons of sceneries, aircraft MB=Gigabyte AORUS Z790 Elite AX, CPU=i13900K, Cooling=Be quiet! November 18, 2025Nov 18 Moderator Dan, I consider Cartayna’s jetways to be superior to the standard SODE ones. So many different types including glass ones allowing the user to see pax boarding. I downloaded his free zip a few years ago. Given the work he put in I don’t see why he shouldn’t now benefit from all that work. Ray (Cheshire, England). November 18, 2025Nov 18 Author @Ray Proudfoot Your catching on, I am planning to use P3D for the concorde, there for why I spawn at stand 421. Anyway I installed SODE v1.7.1 And seem to have the same issue. I am getting the "regenerating airport cache" text message but after this finishes nothing happens. When I open the GSX customization panel like you said I check for the cartayna file but this seems to be a different path. The reason you don’t have an ini file is because the Cartayna file hasn’t been found. It’s late here and I’m out tomorrow. Try this check. Open C:\Users\Yourname\Appdata\Roaming\Virtuali\GSX and look for a filename starting egll. That will be the Cartayna file. Open it and check the path to the BGL named above. It’s right at the start. I suspect the path is wrong. If so, edit the entry to scenery\EGLL_ADEV5-OP01.bgl and save it. Then whilst in P3D goto Add-on menu… Couatl… Reload scenery files. If it works the Cartanya jetways should appear. I’ll pick up any replies either tomorrow evening or Thursday. Ray (Cheshire, England). November 19, 2025Nov 19 Author I think there has been a slight mis-understanding, The entry in the bgl file shows that it is already linked to that path that you mentioned above. Anyway have a nice sleep, talk to you soon.
November 19, 2025Nov 19 Author Also forgot to mention something, when I do command TAB-S it shows me a display from SODE of what the nearest operable jetways are, in the display it says the next operable jetway near me is 6.5 NM away. I thought this might be a little interesting detail

November 19, 2025Nov 19 Author I prefer cartanya because I spent money for it, but honestly at this point I dont mind going with regular sode. As long as they work, Thanks Ray.

Do you have a preference? SODE or Cartayna? It means, Marsha has the SODE-Module enabled but not the jetways for EGLL neither SODE nor GSX. The SODE Module detects both types of Jetways. Is Couatl running? In the Add-ons Menu on the far right it should be listed twice as Couatl and once as GSX. Cartayna files used to be free and one day this guy said, he quits developing and the next day it was buyable at Simmarket. A rather strange behaviour. But certainly one of the largest ressource for GSX ini files but also inibuilds has some. Forgot to mention, SODE Jetways aren't that bad at Heathrow. November 19, 2025Nov 19 Author @Ray Proudfoot I just checked this folder, it seems to me that there is no file for EGLL, I have some other airports that are showing up in this in this folder though.
