Problem with mouse MSFS 2024 in cockpit mode

Featured Replies

I recently got MSFS 2024. I'm having trouble operating switches and instruments in cockpit mode with the mouse. The switches light up blue but don't respond to a mouse click. I also can't pan in the cockpit with the right mouse button. In MSFS 2020, everything works fine, so it's not the mouse. Does anyone know a solution?

Search for 'FS2024 Lock Mode vs Legacy Mode'. When you see the blue highlight, you are in Lock Mode and the mouse interaction is very different to Legacy Mode.

Also check in 'Controls' that the profiles for the mouse are set to FS2024 default.

FS2024 • PMDG 738, 77F • FSL A321 • A2A Comanche, Aerostar • BS Baron, Bonanza, Caravan Pro • JF Tomahawk • TAOG H500C
BeyondATC • GSX Pro • ChasePlane & Flow Pro • TDS GTNXi • FSUIPC • AutoFPS • RealTurb

Oh boy. ASOBO constantly has issues with quick cloud synchronization, affecting certain items, including control bindings.  I just experienced the same problem; it did synchronize something, but this time it actually affected my mouse. Somehow, this time it introduced a bidding conflict with my yoke, affecting my mouse. How do I fix it? I create a duplicate of each of my peripherals (except the mouse) without bidding to avoid conflicts. After 3 tries, it found a problem with my assignments: my new cloud "synchronization" was affecting the yoke, and it was interfering with my mouse. Unfortunately, there are many posts on the net about this situation, and ASOBO still doesn't get how frustrating this problem is.

Thank you, was indeed in Lock Mode. Works fine now and the problem with panning in the cockpit is solved by  Home Cockpit Mode = Off.

I tend to find my issues is that my profiles change when I change planes, have to change that before getting into free flight mode....

Glad to hear it was an easy fix for you. Despite other here for merely complaining.
