A short flight with 748F - in MSFS 2024 (SU4) 1.6.32.0...

Featured Replies

Today, when I opened my Xbox, I found the installation of the (much-anticipated) MSFS2024 SU4 Update already on-going, and it then took just a couple of more minutes to finish. After verifying in the Xbox (Games) App, that it was indeed Version 1.6.32.0 (ready to stream); I then tested this latest Update with a short 200 miles flight across Norway (see MSFS EFB Map below), west-to-east, from the coastal city of Bergen Airport (ENBR), at the western edge of the country, to Oslo Airport (ENGM) in the capital city, located on the eastern side. On my route, I overflew the snow-ridden (southern) range of the larger Scandinavian Mountains.

With this SU4, I could not help noticing now that I no longer encountered the (random) "loss of avionics displays" in mid-flight, in the 747-8 cockpit, that has previously (and consistently) plagued my Xbox experience with this Boeing 747 airliner, which is, seemingly, at least, one pleasant outcome (and performance improvement) of this latest Update.

Hope you enjoy this collection of images of the (Asobo/WT) Boeing 747-8F (Freighter) painted in the eye-catching (orange) colors of TNT Express.

I've landed  (effortlessly...🙂...) on ILS Runway 19R of Oslo/EMGM (see concluding images below).

Thanks for viewing...!

Thank you, pmplayer. Appreciated the comment…and the hope…🙂

The optimization and improvements are probably more perceptible in the PC than Xbox, but so far, so good for me here.

The loading of the flight deck textures in my Xbox, seems improved, at least, for this (default) 747-8…need to experiment more…

Cheers…!

Fantastic shots, P_7878. Isn't it amazing, how far we have come with default planes? 😀

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

Thanks for chiming into my post, bernd, and the kind words…

You’ve seen it all…the default planes of our SIMs…through the years…🙂…and I agree. In fact, some of the MSFS2024 default airplanes have been now noticeably improved from their initial MSFS2020 versions…

Take care…!
