PSXT_P3D frozen

Featured Replies

Hello,

I recently updated PSXT_P3D for Prepar3Dv5 to v12.4.0 and when I launch the program, it seems to be frozen where its says "Waiting for Prepar3Dv5" despite P3Dv5 is running as per screenshot. Log is below screensot. Any thoughts?

Waiting for Prepar3Dv5 ...

Edited by kiek

See this in your log: p3d program version at web = 12.2.0.
So you were not forced to update — you must have done that yourself. Versions 12.3.0 and 12.4.0 did not contain any changes for P3D.

But it shouldn’t cause any problems either. I don’t know why it is waiting. I just tested it here, and it worked fine.

Maybe try a reinstall and test again?

I didn't nor did I update myself. Your program does forces me (which I don't like) to update PSXT_P3D even if there are no updates for it. I think if you have no updates for PSXT_P3D, it shouldn't force me to update it to the newer version if the updated version was more towards PSXT. Because of this, PSXT_P3D prevents me from using the current version (i.e 12.3.0). When I launch your programs, it looks for the updates automatically, closes the program, forcing me to update it to the newest version. As I said before, normally after an update, the program runs fine, no issues. But this time around, it was not the case. But if you saw the log entry, you see that PSXT_P3D appears to have updated (located above where the Sim_Install_Path) however, I'm not sure what PSXT_P3D is waiting.

I completely uninstalled PSXT_P3D and re-installed it, still getting the same issue.
